SCRIPTURE: “And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.” (1 Samuel 17: 38)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, Saul put on David his entire armour, so that David could go forth and fight with Goliath. In previous verses, David had affirmed that Goliath came to challenge the armies of the living God. So this was not a battle of nation against nation. It had become a battle of the God of Israel against the gods of the Philistines. It was a battle for glory. It was not a battle that needed process. It was a battle that needed grace.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your victory will not come by process; it will come by grace. Your battles will be for the glory of God. I decree, your victory will come by grace. Your next level will come by grace. Your congratulations will come by grace. Your help and helpers will come by grace. Your new season will be unveiled by grace. Your rising will be by grace. God will bypass processes and give you the grace advantage.

You may not be wearing what the Goliaths of this world are wearing, you may not have what they have, you may not know who they know, but you will defeat them regardless. You may not have the physical advantages of ‘Goliath’, but you have the advantage of heaven, and heaven will work in your favour. You may not look as sophisticated as ‘Goliath’, but the power of God will work in your favour to grant you victory on all sides.

David did not defeat Goliath by wearing the armour of Saul; he defeated Goliath because the hand of God came through and worked in his favour. He defeated Goliath because the armour of Goliath crumbled under the influence of the help of God that accompanied David’s stone. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the same things that may not ordinarily bow to your capacity, will eventually bow to the grace of God at work in your life.

Welcome to that season where your victories will come by the glory of God. Welcome to that season where it will not be by process but by grace.

Romans 9: 16 says: “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.”
Declare With Me: My victory shall come by the grace and glory of God; the processes of men won’t stop me, in Jesus’ name!
